Bhutan Photo DVD
This DVD provides an impression of Bhutan, captured in over 100 exceptional photographs. These photographs are embedded in brilliant film sequences from monasteries, shot by Franz Lazi in the early eighties when it was still permitted to take photographs and make films inside the monasteries.
Background music composed with modern instruments but strongly influenced by traditional Tibetan und Bhutanese music and original soundtrack from the monk’s prayers supports the flow of photographs. The soundtrack puts someone into the meditative atmosphere of a Dzong. The question is raised if Shangri-La is present at a special place or if Shangri-La is omnipresent reflecting someone’s inner attitude and respect for values. Or is it like an old monk said “The place of Shangri-La is in your heart”.
The DVD invites the alert eye to follow a journey into the past in order to discover Shangri-la for the future.
